Shangrila Kowloon Hotel, Hongkong

Initially, I had a difficulty in finding a hotel to book in Hongkong for our vacation. I realized that it's even more difficult if you're looking for a family accomodation as space constraints in Hongkong is terrible. For a family of four, most of the hotels required us to book two rooms. Fortunately, I stumbled upon Kowloon Shangrila Hotel. It is perhaps one of the only few hotels in Hongkong that can offer a generous space (a Deluxe Rm boasts of 42 sqm size). They allowed all of us to stay in one room and even provided an additional bed for free. From booking on-line to our arrival, everything was uneventful. It was service at its best. I couldn't complain at all. By the time we arrived for check-in, our hotel keys were all ready and in no time we were ushered in to our room swiftly.

This is the room that welcomed us.

We had an extra bed for the kids.

A small nook for an office desk.

 TV screen is large enough.

The room alley with the dresser and toilet & bath opposite each other.

The closet is filled with enough hangers.

Extra drawers

A generous supply of toiletries.

 Welcome fruits on the table.

Welcome homemade cookies. We all loved this! Even I was wowed by it's crunchy, sweet, chocolatey taste.
And of course, the welcome drinks. They served hot tea for the adults and soy milk for the children.

They also changed the elevator carpet everyday depending on what day it is.

If someone entered your room aside from the cleaning attendants, they will inform you with a note. On the whole, we really had a memorable stay at Kowloon Shangrila Hotel. I wouldn't have any second thoughts in staying here again. It has a very good location with the East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station just across the street. At the back is the relaxing Victoria Harbour and it's a perfect place for strolling around. Shopping districts like Nathan Road and Canton Road are also nearby. Hence, I would definitely say - see you soon Kowloon Shangrila!
