Canyon Cove Residential Beach Resort, Nasugbu Batangas

Before the summer ends and the effects of global warming turn the already unpredictable weather even worse, we took the chance of splashing into the most raved resort in Nasugbu, Batangas today, Canyon Cove Residential Beach Resort. This resort was previously owned by the UCPB group and used to be known as White Cove. The resort went a complete renovation after it was taken by the Canyon Woods group, thus the change in the name as well. Except for the dilapidated buildings situated near the entrance gate of the resort, everything looked different from the time we first visited it in late 2003. The hotel is now fully constructed and there's a huge swimming pool to take pleasure in other than the beach. There's a restaurant where you can have a decent meal without going through the hassle of preparing and bringing your own food. The downside however, is that the food is overly priced! A buffet lunch costs around P450 with very limited food choices. A set meal of grilled foodstuffs (squid, tilapia, chicken) with a glass of iced tea costs P350. These are the only options you have since bringing in of food is prohibited. Unless you're too hungry, the grilled meal is already a good pick. It's just enough to fill your tummy but quite insufficient to satisfy your taste buds.

On the resort's facilities, it's generally clean. The overall landscape is a beauty but not something that will blow you away. The beach view is also nice and serene. When swimming, you have to be watchful of some jellyfish as they might be enjoying the water the same time you do. There's really not much to do inside the resort other than swimming and enjoying the company of family and friends. The only available activities are water sports such as jet ski and kayak. For the kids, there's a small playground to enjoy. The service of some staff was pretty slow specially in the reception area. Nonetheless, the warm and friendly accomodation of Batangueños was there to welcome us.
Canyon Cove Beach Resort is a good place for an out of town summer getaway. The absence of other interesting activities and things to explore will however prevent me in staying overnight. For those who will come from far places like Manila, your preference might be different. Honestly though, among other Nasugbu beach resorts which are open to public, there's no better choice than here.

to the management of Canyon Cove,

We have visited your resort, and I may say it awsome. The views was great and the pool was superb, but can I add some pointers for improvement? First we book in your resort for 300-400 persons and we have notice that your caterer was not in order, at lunch time all guest was already starving its almost 12:00 noon and the caterer was still preparing for the buffet table, and when they start to give the food , they not even bother to refill the fruits , desert and the main dish , even the rice , it takes 15 minutes to refill.
I think you have to focus on your caterers its a bad image for your resort. Your resort is a great venue for company outing , you will have to cater hundreds of guests, so I think its a goods step in investing for a good food and reliable caters.

For those who would like to make further details about the resort, you may go to the link and contact information I have provided in the post. Apparently, I only made a review on our experience for visiting the resort and I am not at all connected to this establishment. Thus, please inquire directly from them.

nag-outing po kami last week dyan sa canyon cove more than 400 persons po kami, ang pangit ng serbisyo nila, maganda sana yong place pero yong man power kulang at yong pagkain naman tinipid kami, hindi nasunod yong contrata. biruin mo pagdating namin, lugaw na galing sa ref ang pinakain sa amin, tanghalian naman 1:30 pm nag served ng food.grabe gutom inabot namin. i will not recommend this kind of place.

Dont be lazy. Reading can be a worthwhile experience. For those who did not bother to read through the blog, the author simply made a review and it is obvious she does not own the place. Also, the internet is such a vast and wide space of knowledge and information. A few mouse clicks and several minutes of patience and I'm sure you'll get your answers to room rates and resort rules. Cheers!

Ngdududa ako sa offer ni i_amcent hehe ngOcular inspection kami jan recently for our company outing, d friendly yung tao nila dyan.
